Facts
Description
Unveiled at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini Diablo VT introduced Viscous Traction all-wheel drive, transferring up to 40% of torque to the front wheels when rear grip was lost. This greatly improved handling and stability without sacrificing the Diablo’s rear-drive character.
Powered by a 5.7-liter V12 delivering 492 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque, the Diablo VT accelerated from 0–60 mph in just over 4 seconds and achieved a top speed of 202 mph. High-performance Brembo brakes, an active adjustable suspension, and 17-inch OZ wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires ensured control at extreme speeds.
The VT featured a redesigned front bumper with larger brake cooling ducts and was produced until 1999, with continuous technical improvements implemented throughout its production run.
Designed by Marcello Gandini, the Diablo VT combined aluminum bodywork with carbon fiber elements and a high-grade leather interior with modern amenities such as climate control, Alpine audio system, power windows, and central locking.
The Diablo VT became a 1990s benchmark supercar, admired for its blend of raw performance, innovative engineering, and everyday usability.
This Motor Car
This particular Lamborghini Diablo VT is truly one of a kind. Originally built as a 1994 Diablo VT Coupe, it was delivered with the rare factory Jota Package, making it the only Diablo VT ever produced in this specification. Finished in Nero/Grigio, it came equipped with a factory roll bar, a genuine factory Jota engine cover, a unique front bumper with dual racing tow hooks, and rare carbon fiber engine bay panels — a set of special features that underline its uniqueness.
Before being sold in Germany, this car served as the official 1995/1996 PPG Indy Car World Series Pace Car in the United States, adding an extraordinary chapter to its history. After its service, it returned to Italy, and was then delivered to Walter Wolf Automobile in Düsseldorf, where it was handed over to its first private owner on 14 September 1996. Since that day, the car has remained in Germany.
With its factory Jota specification, pace-car provenance, and numerous unique features, this Diablo VT stands as a singular, irreplaceable example within Lamborghini’s history.

We act as an independent consultant, always on the side of the buyer or seller, and ensure that every decision is based on expert knowledge.
What kind of vehicles does Lemacc specialize in?
We focus on rare and classic sports cars with collector value, particularly models from brands such as Bugatti, Ferrari, Pagani, Porsche, but mainly vintage Lamborghinis.
Can Lemacc help me find a specific car?
Yes. Through our international network and archive, we can locate rare vehicles that are often not available on the open market. We also verify condition, pricing and provenance.
What does the consultation process include?
You receive a detailed assessment of the vehicle’s condition, value potential, and history. We also guide you through restoration decisions, price negotiation and market timing.
What is the commission for buying or selling a car through Lemacc?
The commission for buying or selling a vehicle through Lemacc is calculated as a percentage of the vehicle’s value and depends on the complexity of the transaction and the services required.
We provide full transparency upfront, so our clients are always informed about the fees before proceeding.
Why is originality so important in classic cars?
Original components and patina preserve the vehicle’s story and long-term value. Over-restored vehicles often lose historical authenticity and future appreciation potential.
