1995 Ferrari 512M
1995 Ferrari 512M
Facts
Description
The Ferrari 512 M (M for Modificata) was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1994 as the final evolution of the Ferrari Testarossa. The engine power was increased from 428 hp in its predecessor, the 512 TR, to 440 hp in the F512M. This made the F512M not only the most advanced model in this series, but also the rarest. At the same time, it was the last flat 12-cylinder engine to be used in a production car bearing the prancing horse emblem, a tradition that began two and a half decades earlier with the presentation of Pininfarina's 365 GT4/BB concept at the 1971 Turin Motor Show. Perhaps the most radical change to the front was the elimination of the pop-up headlights and the use of headlights under a glass cover. The front bonnet featured NACA ducts for the new air conditioning system. At the rear, the black radiator grille was slightly smaller, as were the rear lights, which were two round units each. The F512M is the most extensive redesign the Testarossa model series has ever undergone. However, it was also the model with the shortest lifespan and the lowest production numbers.
Production only ran until the beginning of 1996, and 501 units were manufactured, 75 of which were for the American market and 75 were right-hand drive (41 of which were for the UK market). (Chassis numbers 99376 to 105516). Other sources cite a total of 387 vehicles.
The Ferrari 512M could be ordered with optional carbon fibre bucket seats, which cost DM 9,500. This option was very rarely ordered. It was also possible to choose the rims of the 512TR and purchase a matching leather luggage set, manufactured by Schedoni. The original price at the time was DM 332,000 (without options).
This Motor Car
The Ferrari 512M with VIN *ZFFVA40B000101313* was delivered to its first owner in Germany on 24 March 1995 via Ferrari Neuser in Nuremberg. This model was ordered in the colour combination Rosso Corsa 300 with Nero 152 interior and racing seats with red fabric. The first owner registered the vehicle in Heroldsberg, north of Nuremberg, and owned it until the end of 2000. The next owner came from the Munich area and had the vehicle serviced and maintained by Brandstetter. The last change of ownership took place in 2005. This gentleman took great care of the car, only driving it in summer when the weather was good. He kept the 512M until his death. His son-in-law then took care of the car, using it for fair weather and short trips and always storing it in a temperature-controlled garage. A Fuchs sports rear silencer was installed at the Neuser company at the time and produces an infernal sound that must be heard. The original rear silencer is included and will be sold with the car.The car has been regularly serviced and is in very good condition, both visually and technically.
A major inspection with timing belt replacement, new chip bearings, new valve cover gaskets, new front brake discs + pads, and new tyres was carried out in March 2022 by Fehr (a long-standing Ferrari & Lamborghini specialist). The vehicle is being sold with 2 sets of keys, the Schedoni dashboard folder and accompanying operating instructions, warranty card, dealer directory, original service history and tools.

Yes. Through our international network and archive, we can locate rare vehicles that are often not available on the open market. We also verify condition, pricing and provenance.
What does the consultation process include?
You receive a detailed assessment of the vehicle’s condition, value potential, and history. We also guide you through restoration decisions, price negotiation and market timing.
What is the commission for buying or selling a car through Lemacc?
The commission for buying or selling a vehicle through Lemacc is calculated as a percentage of the vehicle’s value and depends on the complexity of the transaction and the services required.
We provide full transparency upfront, so our clients are always informed about the fees before proceeding.
Why is originality so important in classic cars?
Original components and patina preserve the vehicle’s story and long-term value. Over-restored vehicles often lose historical authenticity and future appreciation potential.
